Does anybody have any experience with GPS trackers for people with dementia? Looking for recommendations from people who have used them.

In Nov 2018, I looked around for various items for my father as he had started to wander off out without my mam's knowledge.
In the end, I got a Personal Emergency Locator V16 from Munster GPS.
Seemed to be ok in the month we had it (he was taken to hospital and then to a care home) so we never really got much benefit from it.
The strap broke in that period but it more than likely was something he did to it (I honestly can't remember how it broke).
It's slightly cumbersome but on the whole it's more about the reassurance.

It uses a phone SIM and you can have an app on your phone to track the person with dementia.
    Would I recommend it?
I think so. I certainly didn't see anything better.

Following a little incident ourselves with my dad last year, the local Garda station advised us to supply them with a recent photo of dad in case he went walk abouts again.
