Hi - I am looking for some advice regarding nuisance ads appearing on my phone lock screen.

    I have a samsung galaxy A7

If I click on the button at the side to wake up the phone, there is a green screen with an advert on it. Once I swipe up,it brings me to the normal unlock screen where I can input my pattern to unlock.

I cannot find where or how to get rid of this ad screen.

Any help or suggestions would really be appreciated.

    thanks

Do you have any battery saver, cleaner or so called booster apps?

Not that I am aware of. Just ran a virus check and no malware found

    Was it Peel TV remote?

For the OP. Have you tried going to Settings>Apps> click the Three Dots in
the top right corner and select Special Access> now select Appear on
    to/ draw over other apps.

Have a look through there and see if there are any suspect apps with that permission.

Some app you probably installed/updated recently probably included Adware.

If your rooted, suggest running Adaway and use it's utility to scan for adware apps.

If not root try one of these apps

    Ad Detector

    or

Popup Ad Detector-Detect ad showing outside of app

Haven't use the above apps, so don't know if there any good.

^^^ From I remember from this and other posts the second app should be helpful in your case.

I tried that the other day but could not find Draw over apps - option was not there. I just tried again and it did however, have Appear on top.

Jackpot - that worked. thank you very much.
