I see the Keystones are preventing striking Debenhams workers from protesting. Disgusting but entirely unsurprising from the Blueshirt cops. They love this crisis, its great for their overtime and feeds into their fascist instincts.

And the Travellers in the Curragh and at Birr get an escort.

Surprised by that tbh but I suppose these days there is an SJW tendency in the Keystones.

Isn't it interesting what you can learn about a poster from a single post!

It's American for Garda, often used by people that can't pronounce Garda.

Nah, but it makes for a great toilet roll replacement.

Arguably, its far worse. An entire populace brainwashed into meek compliance with diktat by social conditioning. Brave New World.

What's the idea of the protest? Sure the shops are closed and there's no one in town to protest at.

Recently yes and I've no recollection of Blueshirts, fascists or Keystones in it. The current denouement comes courtesy of temporary amendments to the Health Act 1947 , not the Constitution. The only influence it has here is to confer the power to draft laws on the Dail.

You might want to reread it then. Rights to assembly, union membership and peaceful protest are all guaranteed. Constitution trumps your health acts, otherwise no point in having a constitution.

According to the constitution these rights are subject to morality and public order.

It's a breach of public order to assemble and risk the spread of disease during a pandemic. I think anyone who wants to do is an immoral little **** too so I guess it's in breach of morality too.

Surely it's a perfect time to break out some artillery/mortar training in the Curragh, not our fault if some very careless people dumped their mobile homes in the blast zone?

If they're socially distancing surely there's no reason why the protest couldn't go ahead? How many participants were there?

    More than four.

    Illegal.

You're not allowed outside your home except for reasons designated by the National Public Health Emergency Team.

I feel terribly sorry for the workers, but holding a protest isn't one of those reasons.

And with this, outrage quelled and thread closed
