We're back at it again folks. It's tournament time! This is the beginning of an endeavor to find your favorite resident of Springfield, USA. In the field we have 64 different characters and the goal is to whittle it down to just one. So strap in and get on board as we look to decide the best Simpsons Character ever. First bout is coming up shortly...

The Rules

- All draws are decided by a random number generator.
- First character to reach 4 votes progresses.
- All votes must have reasons to be valid.
- All Round 1 matches have a 45 minute time limit.

Nelson all the way. Can stand on his own in more ways than one. The humanity side of him comes out the odd time too. Not as one dimensional as Carl.

Nelson, definitely - I have a soft spot for him and want to look after him - I am like a real-life Marge, obviously.

I make that 3-3 tie so the I'll cast a deciding vote. Jeez it's tough. Both are funny. Instinctively I'd say Snake but thinking about it Otto developed a good bit and has some great lines. When he was shown a room to rent he said ''wow, windows... i don't think I can afford to live here''.

I'll go with Otto.
