A post-workout selfie? After every workout?

Yes to send to your personal trainer to prove the workout is done

It doesn't prove the workout is done. It proves you were in workout clothes and took a selfie.

Does it help you...would you not do the workouts otherwise? If it helps, then that's what matters. I wouldn't have thought it would be common but different things work for different people and if that helps keep you doing the workouts you're given then that's what counts

Thank you for your reply. :-)

Mr.Davis is a personal trainer and I was wondering why these pics were popping up in his gallery.
He told me he hasn’t asked for them, but it’s the same 3 people that will send 2/3 pics a week

Are you jealous of the photos?

Maybe it’s the clients trying to stay motivated and connected

Not jealous, no. But I can see why you’d ask.

More pissed off these pics get sent at 11.30 night when we’re in bed.

Used a personal trainer previously, and was never asked to send pictures. Was asked to track my own workouts, and log what I did (amount of sets, weights, etc).

I did know someone in a different trainer's whatsapp group, and they would all (men and women ... closed group) share pictures, but I think it was mainly their meals and pictures for encouragement (Slogans on sunset and stuff).

Yeah messaging late is just rude

How are these photos being sent?
I’m not sure what you mean by gallery

Ah I hate that feature of what’s app. Turned it off immediately.
Did you find these photos or did he tell you? I find it a bit weird, but if it keeps them motivated

He was showing me photos when I saw them and asked him who these people were and he told me.
I asked him did he not think it was a bit weird and he said a bit but it’s not as if he can ask these people to stop as their home workouts are the only thing that are possibly keeping them sane at the minute.

He did go into each of their numbers on whattsaapp and stopped the pics saving.

There was nothing sinister about these photos can I add, I don’t even know these people.

I’m thinking maybe this person who is sending them at strange times is lonely , but Husband only replies to messages during his set working hours.

I just found it strange after 5 years he started getting these pics.

    These are strange times.

Given the lack of ability train in person and all the accountability that goes with it, they probably find that being able to show they have done a workout is a way of maintaining that feeling of accountability

Tell Mr Davis to conduct sessions via Zoom during business hours.

His clients get accountability and proper form check and you get peace of mind and not being bothered in bed.

    Win Win

It’s part of his program having weekly zoom sessions.

Alf Veedersane said it’s strange times we live in, and he’s right. I might be only noticing it now as I’ve nothing else to be doing except thinking.

No harm in any of the pics. I was curious to see if it’s a done thing.

    Thanks for the replies!

If it was to prove a workout was done why would it be sent at night.. it would be sent right after the workout :eek:

Again, I’m going to give this person the benefit of the doubt and say they might be lonely or forgot!

    Thank you for your reply
