Broken lift arm on John Deere 6220

    Good morning all,
I broke a lift arm on a JD 6220 yesterday. I was distracted picking up a cattle trailer and the lift arm got caught against the draw bar while I was turning out on the road. I was surprised how easily it broke.
    Does anyone know

    If they can be welded?
or of a scrapped JD 6220 where I could get a salvaged one.

I priced one online last night. They cost about €300 new.

    Thanks

Might be better asking on the main f&f forum

Try one of the breakers yards, there'll be a few of them on DoneDeal.

    Tanners in Fermoy.

    John Conaty in Kells

I've used both of these in the past and no problems in getting deliverys from them.

Theres very little that cant be welded, talk to a good welder with experience in machinery, there's different welds and rods for various jobs, it will be a good bit cheaper than of the cost of a new arm
