Longterm measures to keep it under control?

Ok thankfully most seem to realize even if we bring it down to small manageable numbers we are not going to be lifting restrictions and back to normal as it will just kick off again

What measures will be needed to ensure we don't open the floodgate again? Assuming we get a handle on things and flatten the curve

I'm thinking we'll need all passenger travel to adhere to a Chinese style 14 day quarantine on arrival here

Will we see stuff like concerts and sports off the cards for next 12 months? Or at very least 12 months behind closed doors?

I'd wonder if social distancing would need to be kept and the knock on effects for clubs , pins etc

I reckon we’ll end up quarantining the elder and rocking on. We kind of have to move on sooner than later

    - more taxes

    - huge increase in private health insurance, or a forced public health insurance tax

    - travel restrictions might be the equivalent of pet passports... have you have a vaccine or 14 days quarantine

    - worldwide system for sharing medical data - statisical, not personal like an early warning system

    - good excuse to bring in other things like national id/global id cards, cashless society

Close the borders until there is a vaccine? So no flights in and out for tourists etc, only transport for goods imports and exports.
My worry is that there will be another outbreak and another lockdown after this current situation, if we keep allowing people to travel.

I feel in this way we could at least go back to normal life here.
