Food options for restricted movements after travel

I'm Irish, was travelling in South America for a few months but came home last minute as borders closing and flights grounded.

I've taken an Airbnb for 2 weeks to self-isolate before going back to my parent's home. Asymptomatic but needed to use many flights/airports to get home so safer.

I'm in Dublin but my family are in a different town (avoiding public transport). I see Tesco etc have long delivery times. Going to supermarket would be a bit counterproductive to self isolating.

How are people handling this? Takeaways? Ideally I'd be more organised but it was a bit stressful coming home (curfews, cancelled flights, closed borders etc)

Do you not know anyone that can drop you off a week's groceries?

Contact the hse helpline if your self isolating.
They will tell you what the appropriate action is and what help is available.

There are a load of COVID help groups out there that deliver peoples shopping to them. You can ring up the local supervalu etc, put in an order, pay with card and someone will drop it outside your house.

Lots of GAA clubs are helping out with this - check the facebook pages of clubs in your area or a local parish centre

    From Helen O'Rahilly on Twitter:

Interact online on http://localsupport.ie or TEXT 087 3658233. 7am-11pm. Stay safe. Keep Your Distance! #Selfisolationhelp

These are people who have volunteered to help all over the country to get groceries etc.

Thanks for all replies, very helpful.

I can get an earlier slot with SuperValu than Tesco, so I can tide over with current supplies and a takeaway until then!

Good to see so many options available however. When I return to my hometown I'll look at volunteering for something like that since I have a car and no job!
