philosophical question on pubs in Irish society

    Will the whole fabric of Irish society be altered by pubs being closed for a few weeks?.

    I don't think so.
    People are resilient and after this is all gone we'll remember it whilst having pints down the local.

    Despite not being fond of the Irish drinking culture, its a kind of comforting thought that it will all go back to normal.

    I think there will be a new found appreciation for the role the local plays in Irish society.
