Pints in the pub or cans at home?

    What do you prefer?

I'm currently sitting at home alone. Mrs Rock is in her family home and I'm having pizza chips and a few cans of Beamish.

I choose what's on the telly.

I won't lose my seat when I go to the jack's.

    No noise.

Less than €2 a can and a plate of chips from the deep fat fryer for less than a euro.

    Pubs can go to hell.

    Pints in the pub. Always.

Nothing wrong with a few cans after though.

    Bottles at home.

You end up talking to other people in the pub. Ugh!!!

It'll have to be cans at home for the next while....

Prefer to pay a bit more and talk to a few people in a local pub than sit at home drinking cans talking to myself or taking to no one .
Pubs obviously have to charge more paying staff , rates , heating etc . Dublin pubs are very dear to be honest but sub 5 euro points in rural pubs is better than paying 2 euro for a can at home in my eyes .

Depends. A few good friends and a decent movie in midweek than cans at home definitely.

Weekend, some extra cash and a diesire for hijinks - pints in the pub.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I like cans at home but nothing beats pints of draught stout in the pub, just like I’m having now.

Depends on the mood. Probably prefer the pub so I can talk sh1t :D if i'm with a few mates - a pool table would be a bonus. Not many of them around but... so normally cans at home... A few bottles of stella or hop house lager - summit like that wen i'm on me tod indoors usually..

Pints in the pub love the socializing aspect of it, I've people I'd talk to now , I'd never met if it wasnt for some random conversation in the local pub.

Who in their right mind would pay 2 euro for a can of Beamish?

    Are you living in Dubai?

I'm having a sip of Jameson at home this evening, was in the pub yesterday after work for one or seven.

Friday after work is the best time for a few pints in the pub especially if you had none since the previous weekend.

No offence but I wouldn't drink a can of Beamish for a bet.

...and what happens when Mrs Rock comes home? Healthy food, she'll tell you what to put on the TV, and your seat was hers before you even came into the room, or there'll be lots of noise?

Perhaps the pub is another word for your marriage; noisy and something you'd prefer to avoid?

Or perhaps you really need to have pints in the pub! :pac:

Try west indies guineass at home from bottle chilled in freezer. Better than any draft. Put hair on your chest :) granted better atmosphere out

I never drink stout from a bottle, awful stuff. Sometimes cans of Guinness but as a general rule I reserve drinking Guinness for the tap, IPA is my home drink. The fact I’m out around twice a week though means I don’t have to wait too long for the next creamy pint.

    Could not agree more

Dont have to suffer 'experts', I can avoid all liverpool, rugby union and golf, I'm not sick the following day or feeling like I've wasted 100 quid, my clothes dont stink, I can eat whenever I want without having to pay 4 quid for a horrible burger to keep me going. I used to go out all the time when I was younger, now I wonder why I wasted all that time putting up with **** that annoyed me.

Yep, a pub with no tv I would gladly frequent. Sam Smith pubs in England are perfection. Cheap booze, no telly, full of characters.
Majority of pubs here are just liverpool jerseys and gambling experts dictating whats on the telly.

And stating “rugby union” implies that rugby league is, somehow, ok. When we all know that’s just not true.

Also sounds like skinny Charlie hasn't been to the pub since the smoking ban was introduced.
