Marrying in Ireland

    Hello

My Fiancee and I are planning to marry in Ireland, we have a date and venue. She is Brazilian and the problem we are having is because she is divorced. She was married while still living in Brazil and divorced while living here through the Brazilian embassy. We have send the divorce papers to the GRO and they have written back saying they need proof she hasn't "abandoned her jurisdiction" in Brazil. As I understand this means they need proof she still has ties to Brazil. She still has an active bank account, mortgage and other things in Brazil. They also need an affidavit swearing this.

Has anyone had to do this or something similar. Thanks in advance.
