Ireland have registered a strong win against the Grand Slam Champions in Dublin.

No better set up for a Scotland v England clash.

scotland need to come away with points when they get near the england line

Air of inevitability about this already, England starting to dominate against the wind.

    Oh Scotland

    Also, Itoje got pinged. Amazing

    Another inept French ref.

Curry in the side of that maul.

Its going to be a low scoring game this one.

Scotland had plenty of time to get the ball away after it was clear Curry wasn't being penalised. They are their own worst enemies with their decision making.

Their ineptitude doesn't excuse the refs ineptitude.

Fully agree, but react to the threat, get the ball away, keep the attack alive...

Scotland are playing the conditions terribly

    What was Hogg at there.

It's one of the weirder games I have seen. Like we have gone back in time 20 years and kicking is back in fashion

Their just not playing smart at all.
Poor decisions and lots of unforced errors.
Frustrating, cause England can be got at here.

Neither side seems to be playing the weather and then both get really surprised when nothing works.

It’s the poorest game I’ve seen in a good while, littered with errors, some average refereeing again... the conditions no doubt playing a major influence on things though. The English adapting better to the conditions, far less errors, the Scottish play is littered with mistakes.

    Hogg is so poor.

Huge call to go for the corner

With those conditions, Scotland needed sustained pressure to win a kickable penalty. Now they need to hang on, it's England's turn to push hard.

7 points would be worth about 20. Diabolical game.

This is the worst quality game I have seen in years.

What just happened there surely that should’ve been England ball for a crooked lineout?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Horrendous call from referee. Should have been penalty and possible yellow for Sinckler.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Why were the Scottish fans so incensed when May kicked the ball out?

Stupid question I know as they’ve been booing since the 2nd minute.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,738 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Wasn't ripped in the tackle at all, Sinckler ripped that on the ground

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,351 ✭✭✭fitz

All the talk about England being championship favourites and likely to get a slam is looking so completely unfounded. I know the conditions are bad, but this is the second week in a row they've looked pretty poor.

Why are Scots angry is probably one of the most googled questions of all time :D

Give England’s whinging when Italy embarrassed them a few years back, presumably they’ll be pushing for all roof stadiums after this.

    Great from Hogg.

    Genetic condition.

Theyre very unlucky, if the ref was better, other team didn’t cheat, the ball wasn’t oval, the grass wasn’t green and there wasn’t 15 on each them they’d never get beaten

Willie Heinz just really isn't an international level player, I've no idea why Jones called him up to the squad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

I dont understand why Heinz is getting game time. Old and not actually that amazing either.

Criminal to make a mistake like that twice... Learn your lesson, lad!

Jones is never going to admit a mistake and drop him. Similar to Curry at 8.

Now Ford. That’s inexcusable, conditions or not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,738 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

I haven't seen an English team this disorganised since 2015

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,738 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

How many times are they going to boot it into touch, absolutely shocking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,017 ✭✭✭SharpshooterTom

Is this same England that nearly went through the entire southern hemisphere at the WC?

I can’t remember a game so affected by the weather.

We were pretty terrible against Wales last year. We couldn't hold onto the ball at all.

Yeah but they could, both teams here are making unbelievable amounts of unforced errors.

Hooked it, that's poor, and can't really blame the wind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,176 ✭✭✭blackwhite

Much and all as I’d prefer a Scottish win, I was willing that over to spite the Scottish crowd booing the kicker

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,017 ✭✭✭SharpshooterTom

Draw at 3/1 if anyone fancies it.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,351 ✭✭✭fitz

    Hogg touched that down, surely

    Hogg. Again.

Blessed to get away with that.

    Oh my Hogg

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,738 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Hogg could have another stinker of a moment to lose the game for Scotland. My word.
