I think this topic deserves a thread of its own as it's going to cause as much trouble as VAR has in soccer. They've even named the national league the AFL now too. I know the A stands for Allianz as they sponsor it but it's some coincidence that AFL also stands Australian Football League.

It is awful. I don't think I have ever seen a cheaper score than the one Michael Murphy got last Saturday.

To gain a mark, in my opinion, the catch should be contested/player must be off the ground etc but the game is hard enough to ref as it is.

But get rid of it.
