    Hi

    If you work 30 hours over 3 days can you claim for the order two days

    30 hours a week is considered full time employment so I'd guess no, you can't.

    Yes, you can. It's not the hours worked but the days worked that they are looking at. Anything more than 3 days and you get nothing. They work out your means from work and compare it to your maximum JSA claim. The formula they use is roughly: (amount you earn - €60 (€20 per day worked)) x 60% = means from work. So if you earn €120 per day it will work out like this: 360 - 60 x 60% = €180. In that case if you are a single person with no dependents then your maximum payment is normally €203 so your payment would be €23.

    If you work nights over midnight then they count the night that you do most hours e.g. if you work from 8pm Sunday night to 6am Monday morning then they consider that you worked the Monday not both days.

    All that depends on if you have other income or savings over 20k etc.
