    29. Two good songs. Probably bought both albums in same transaction but vote goes to Song 2...Woohooooo!!

    30. Iris - Good song.

    31. No contest here - Bittersweet Symphony - the lead single from one of the best albums of the decade. No musical snobbery but the other one was just ****e.

    32. Alright - Nice catchy piece of pop/rock. Good live band too.

EDIT: After a quick check, none of my votes here actually counted. You guys are quick.

The only place in the universe that 'You Oughta Know' is a better song than 'Wannabe' is on Boards.

Alanis Morissette's best song is about a word she doesn't even know the meaning of.

You Oughta Know is fantastic. You can feel the anger and bitterness radiating off it....

    Brilliant songwriter

I want you to know, that I am happy for you
I wish nothing but the best for you both
    An older version of me
    Is she perverted like me?
Would she go down on you in a theater?
    Does she speak eloquently
And would she have your baby?
I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother
'Cause the love that you gave that we made
Wasn't able to make it enough for you
    To be open wide, no
And every time you speak her name
Does she know how you told me
You'd hold me until you died
'Til you died, but you're still alive
And I'm here, to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair, to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
    You, you, you oughta know
You seem very well, things look peaceful
I'm not quite as well, I thought you should know
Did you forget about me, Mr. Duplicity?
I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner
It was a slap in the face
    How quickly I was replaced
And are you thinking of me when you **** her?
'Cause the love that you gave that we made
Wasn't able to make it enough for you
    To be open wide, no
And every time you speak her name
Does she know how you told me
You'd hold me until you died
'Til you died, but you're still alive
And I'm here, to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair, to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
    You, you, you oughta know
'Cause the joke that you laid in the bed
That was me and I'm not gonna fade
As soon as you close your eyes, and you know it
And every time I scratch my nails
Down someone else's back I hope you feel it
    Well, can you feel it?
And I'm here, to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair, to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
    You, you, you oughta know

Ach, I nominated Alright so felt duty bound to vote for it, but Wicked Game is a cracker. Can't possibly be upset over that.

I can feel the anger and bitterness radiating off a lot of things.

It doesn't make them the greatest song of the 90s.

Ah, that's more opinion than fact tbf. I mean, it's called pop music for a reason. I do think there is an alt/indie lean in the competition so far, but sure we'll see what happens as the tourney progresses.

A quarter final line up of 3 Radiohead, 3 Blur and 2 Oasis as an eg. won't be very entertaining if it happens though, diversity is the spice of life :)

    Oasis I don't mind.

    Blur are awful.

Radiohead's best songs has been far better covered. Jaysus yar wan busking in Dublin blows their 'Creep' outta the water.

Meh boring. Especially given the first-past-the post.

Nooooooooooo, Kolido, I'm not criticising you. You're running the voting perfectly fine. I'd make no changes.

The format is best suited to a forum.

But if this was a national referendum, a lot of these results would be different.

Probably won't be as much of that as you might expect as I suspect that a lot of people avoided nominating popular songs as they thought someone else would. Hence the one nomination for Wonderwall.

Kolido said there were 214 songs in the competition and there were something like 85 matches from the songs with one nomination so the vast majority of songs were only nominated once. And plenty more were in the competition today. There can't be many songs left that haven't been voted upon yet. Unless I missed it earlier today, only one of my ten songs hasn't come up so far.

Dont think Virtual Insanity made it so here's Jamiroquai doing a live performance of Love Foolosophy. Love the opening minute of just the crowd singing along to the melody being played by the band :D
