How to overcome such feelings. I like myself but have aspects of my personality that I don’t think work well as part of a couple. I’m quite laid back or passive depending on perspective, independent, quite introverted in terms of thoughts. Just feel I’m a bit too straight forward, girls like emotions and feel like Indont push enough buttons.

Hi op? Are you that way in all aspects of your life?

Are there certain hobbies/interests that make you feel emotions: excitement, an adrenalin rush, competitive?

Does work bring any emotions out in you: sense of achievement, pride, satisfaction etc?

Are you passive in your social circle, do you feel like you can have fun on a night out with your friends?

Do you travel and does this make you feel happy?

Or do you think it's firmly rooted in being in a relationship and having to be part of that team that bores you?

Sorry lots of questions, just trying to get a handle on if this is part of everyday life for you or not.

For me, having been in a very committed long term relationship and out the other side I know right now I would not make a great partner as I would not have the interest to devote time to it or nurture it. In essence I would be passsive. However, all other aspects of my life bring out daily positive emotions in which I am fully engaged and extremely happy.

    Hi Completedit

I never like doing this, but you've started a number of threads in a similar vein lately, including here in PI. I would really strongly suggest that you seek counselling as it's clear you have very poor self-esteem in a lot of ways and I don't think this is something PI can help you with, definitely not in the long term. I'm sorry but I have to lock this thread.

Best of luck, honestly. Take care of yourself.

    Thread locked.
