Ffs, ball was out there to cut... a nothing shot, just hanging the bat a distance from his body and that’s 4 down.

Not to worry, serious rain imminent anyway. If increasing odds on completed match are any guide, that is.

    76-4, bad collapse

95/6 off 10.4 overs, not looking good at the moment for Ireland.

The only positive I can see is that Gary Wilson is finally cast aside.
It's unreal that they've continued to use him.
White being a selector and personal friends with him has cost us

Alas, odds on completed match now tumbling so might have to get a result the hard way.

He's not cast aside, he got 7.

Was the review only requested after the big screen showed the run out ?

I really hope you're wrong, but I suspect he'll be still given more opportunities.
How he got a central contract ahead of Josh Little is beyond me

Dont think so. Bravo was calling for it immediately the ball hit the stumps.

You said it, connections and favouritism, not on ability or performance

See the wickets fall again, you’d be disappointed no dives were attempted for either run out, would have saved both batsmen you’d have to feel seeing it again...

a 6 over gap between boundaries is not going to win you 20/20 games, against anyone, well that and poxy giveaway wickets, ANOTHER ! As I type Jesus

From 50 after 4 point something overs to 125 after 17, simply horrid.

    Rain please.
After a blistering start, it's now rapidly heading towards embarrassing
We'll be lucky if we bat out the overs

Considering how tiny the player pool (and broad public interest) for cricket is in Ireland I think it's extraordinary that they compete at any level in the sport.

I think they are great ambassadors for the sport in Ireland.

Dives don't actually achieve what you might think they do. Myth busters done an episode on diving which was absolutely fascinating and resulted in running hard rather than diving is actually quicker. I would have felt the same as yourself until I saw it

Four out of eleven innings made it into double figures...out of that two making over 20 runs. Not good enough, below par.

Well a greater urgency to get over the line may have been what was needed but lethargic there can’t be any question over.

    Series drawn unless it rains.
    Nothing new here unfortunately

Yes, spot on. Adair a bit unlucky to be hit by a missile but he was rather ambling between the wickets so really does only have himself to blame i think.

I’m sure, the criticism being aimed isn’t of a personal nature it’s at elements of the sporting performance...

I think if you sit back and say.., “great bunch of lads, do xxxx for charity, cricket and the community”... absolutely but again if you are serious about them being competitive, improving, you need to forget about the other stuff, judge on international standards..

50 up after 3 overs and 3 balls, incredible effort.
To be reduced to 138 all out is just not good enough.
Windies will knock this off with at least 3 overs to spare I reckon

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

Weather not going to intervene now, is it? I still see folk betting against a completed match but cant see why at this stage.

Problem was after WI reigned us in after the super positive start, even though we had a load of wickets in hand, we weren’t really trying for boundaries it was non risk stuff, probing for singles.

15 runs so far off the over and players laughing and joking with one another... not to be a killjoy but....

You're not, I'm well used to Irish cricket letting me down.
I'd be really impressed if we could defend 138, can't see it but would be a monumental achievement

They are good for sure, but inconsistent
