It's -30 deg C here in Winnipeg. You can go ahead and feel better about where ever you are now.

    You're welcome.

Hiding. My patience has worn thin with people asking pointless questions when all you want them to do is the job they were asked to do.

    Anyone read war books?
"Do the birds still sing in Hell" was my most recent. Very moving...

Wondering what to do with my free day

    Sebastian Faulks - Birdsong .

Isn't a true story but reads as if it was , I'd highly recommend it tbh .

In for a few minutes , have to go back out for an hour or so , and then I have a lovely evening ahead unloading and stacking up a trailer full of firewood , am not complaining as I'll appreciate it when the house is warm and cosy !

I'd be delighted to show you but I'm a bit clueless about uploading photos to this site...will try to figure it out though :)

If you have any photos of your rice dye project I'd love to see it :)

It can be really meditative :)

That’s a sore point. It was a table cloth for a small round table. Gave it to my favourite aunt, who sewed and embroidered into her nineties. Her witch of a daughter-in-law disposed of everything after her death.
So many projects we had worked together were dumped in an act of pure vandalism.

There's only one word to call the person. I won't post it. but I'm sure we can all guess it. Starts with C.

Turned out a very quiet day. Listening to Creedence clearwater and messin' with ice cubes, plastic guttering, and tshirts tonight. Incline dyeing.

Couchside. Went to bed after work for a snooze, I was cold and tired. Bonus thumping headache which I'm sure is the start of sinusitis. :(

Home office deskside, doing a little happy dance :) First day back at work brought a few nice positive surprises, and my sense of taste is coming back as well :)

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

On the couch, waiting for the baby to go to sleep and himself to stop playing Rocket League so I can watch the last episode of The Witcher.

I really need my own version of a man cave :D

Couch side after dinner with my buddy in an excellent ramen restaurant that a friend of ours owns. And then the evening got even better, my official certification for the big exam I took at the end of November came in. Dave is officially a CISSP, probably won’t mean a lot to most of but in the information security world it’s the gold standard! I’m so pleased! :D:D:D

I’ve never seen intricate floral stitching on cowboy boots.

Congratulations Dave! Well done on reaping the rewards of your hard work. Funnily enough a few months ago I bumped into a guy I went to school with and he was in a course to be Security Professional too. He said the course was a lot of hard work and quite expensive too so good for you. :)

    Homeside. Tired and awkward.

Thanks everyone! :D there’ll be some Guinness drank on Saturday I think to celebrate, so 100% shenanigans :)

@Guy, it’s a great job / career journey and the courses/ exams tend to be expensive but it comes back down the road. I’m lucky that I’ve always had an aptitude for computer stuff and the security stuff always fascinated me. I’m lucky to have a job I like doing.

@Ted, I laughed out loud! I’m amazed no one has said that before to me! I may keep that post quiet! That’d be great ammo for some of my friends! :D

It certainly comes across as the polar opposite to Metal :D

I used to have another name on this account but you used to be able to change them if you were subscribed.
