Imagine a prime Mike Tyson in there with AJ....

AJ sticking to a good game plan but my word Ruiz is so limited, he's not near top5 in the world, Whyte, Fury, Wilder would wipe the floor with him
    Also atmosphere is crap
Like a backyard behind the local..........

No idea why you want him to fight Ruiz in the pocket so badly. It's the reason he lost the first fight. Joshua sticking to a game plan perfectly here.

Never said that. But lay a bit of a proper beating on the lad...

It’s a fooking HW boxing championship match!

Ruiz needs to go for it now

All or nothing for Ruiz now.

Exactly it's a "boxing" match. Joshua boxing very well here. If I was his trainer I'd tell him to not even throw a hook. All he needs is his legs and jab.

The Sky commentary is just appalling. No way is this an outstanding performance.

Ruiz just has to go for it.

Commentary team on Sky are an awful dose it must be said.

The only difference is that AJ has actually landed some punches!

After the way the last fight went this is logically the best way to fight. Sky would sicken your happiness

So biased and stupid. The commentary i mean

AJ fighting the right fight and Ruiz just doesn't have enough to stop him doing his thing.

Right all in come on Ruiz

Yep its not exciting but AJ is giving him a lesson in boxing, KO has been needed for a Ruiz win since before halfway. 1 round to go.

I had to turn off the sound on Dazn, incessant verbal diarrhoea.

Ruiz spending this last round chasing him round the ring.

Worse than usual tonight. Never heard such a stream of gushing praise in all my life.

    Tank F I didn’t pay for this.

AJ fighting for an Olympic medal, and Ruiz not fit enough to get close.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,539 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

People have to remember Ruiz was a nobody before the first fight and we have seen why now, Let's not pretend this win is something its not

    Ruiz has nothing..

Great feet shown from AJ, but still quite a lazy and poor offensive show from Ruiz..

The commentary is painful to listen too

Fakest fight I ever seen in my life. Hope Ruiz Jr got paid a lot of money behind the scene.

    11 -1 to aj

It was a very disciplined performance from AJ. Not great to watch but he's done the job. If nothing else, he has to be commended for his conditioning. In previous fights he's been very gassy imho whereas tonight he never stopped bouncing around the ring. Now we have to see if Ruiz can adapt well enough for the rematch
