    Your computer restarted because of a problem

      If you've had it a long time and this is the only time it has happened then t's probably nothing.

      Do you use time machine restore points?

      Thanks. It's a refurb I bought it in May 2016.

      27-inch iMac 3.2GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5 with Retina 5K

      Last TM back up was Nov 9th. I'm not very active with them.

      Hadn't plugged anything in.

      Did you update to Catalina? Nothing but Kernel panic since I did. On the report it shows the apps with Kernel Extensions, disable/uninstall these and add them back until you find it. Avast seems to be causing the problem for me.

      Run DriveDX on your drive (free trial available), look for input/output errors which could indicate a problem with the drive. It’s always a good idea to have an external drive with a clone of your OS on it. Your Mac can boot from this if there’s a problem on your internal drive. SuperDuper is great for this and free

      Composite temperature is 40%.

      I'm on 10.15.1.
