Replying for notifications. I missed out on Promare last week because I didn't know it was on until the day of.

Yeah, demand for Promare was nuts. Cineworld had 4 sub screenings and one dub.

I still hold out hope for a Bunny Girl movie screening but I think it's been too long by now.

Seems it is Crunchyroll bringing Konosuba here, half assing everything outside the US as usual.

Yeah, and can now actually search for the Konosuba movie on the Vue website, still no image and the description worked this morning but gone now. Managed to book a ticket, though, so see you other weebs there!

The link for Konosuba isn't working for me. Glad were getting these releases though even if it can be a bit awkward to get to.

Keep trying. The listing keeps appearing and disappearing.

Seems the gremlins have been removed from the server and Konosuba is no longer disappearing.

    Still not showing for me.

It's on the main page now too if you search Thursday's screenings. It is a bit down the listings. Going to the listing directly is still hit or miss. The Vue website is a garbage mess of JavaScript.

Cheers. I think my browser cached the dodgy version from yesterday.

Go to a film to see some explosions on the big screen, yet the only thing that explodes is the projector.

What a waste of six hours and half a tank of petrol.

Yeah, that's even worse than being stuck on the M50 car park for 90 mins trying to get there from Bray.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,067 ✭✭✭Gunmonkey

    Ouch. I thought I was bad with 3 & 1/2 hours and a quarter of a tank.

I had about an hour of that on the way up.

Anime Limited have now confirmed the Konosuba screening is going to be rescheduled, unfortunately it is still only going to be in Vue Liffey Valley. No date as of yet.

Hopefully someone will test the file this time.

Happened in quite a few places from what I've seen online.

Not holding out much hope, all the reschedules are for the 17th of December so under 2 days notice for a confirm from Vue is too much for me.

There are reschedules as far out as January 5th, which would actually not be too bad being a Sunday.

Konosuba is on on Wednesday at 6.50pm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,818 ✭✭✭Evade

I'll be more than a little annoyed if this turns into another wasted day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭megaten

Feck, got a Christmas party that day that I can't get out of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,818 ✭✭✭Evade

That was good. It was a lot emptier today than it was last week.

Yeah, only half as many. To be expected on 2 days notice, and right in the middle of exam week for a lot of schools and colleges.

This is getting a wide release, so expect more locations to pop up.

There is also an untitled anime film being screened on February 9th. This is expected to be either One Piece Stampede or My Hero Academia Heroes Rising.

One Piece Stampede is being screened on February 2nd. No information on locations as of yet, but would expect it to be at least shown in Cineworld.

Fyi, this screening is for the English dub. Other locations are going live atm. No more for Ireland as of yet outside this screening and the double bill on January 15th in the Lighthouse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,803 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

The times are up for One Piece Stampede in Cineworld. 4pm for the dub and 7pm for the sub on Sunday February 2nd.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,803 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

All the times are now up for Weathering With You. There are multiple screenings in Dublin, Cork and Galway.

All screenings can be found here

So happy I saw this thread, even if it means I'll have to travel to see any of them as nothing outside of Dublin as far as I can see. Must petition the local ones to see if they'll get it.

Tempted now to go up for Stampede. Is the date just the release date and there'll be more viewings, or is it likely a 1 time only affair?

Edit: I've banged off an email to Odeon, Omniplex and Vue specifically about the cinemas in Limerick showing Stampede. I also dropped a line about the upcoming DEMON SLAYER - KIMETSU NO YAIBA - The Movie: Mugen Train, as even if I have to travel to England, I want to see this in the cinema! Will let ye know what they say, but I'd imagine Odeon and Omniplex won't have anything, but at least Stampede is showing on the Vue website, but could be for UK audiences only...

One time only is the norm for anime. At least Weathering is get a decent run in Cork and Galway if you are interested.

Didn't the 24th screening of weathering with you in the lighthouse not used to be a double screening of your name?

No, the double screening was on last night.

Odeon got back to me, no intention of showing any anime by the looks of it.

Expect this to only be shown in Cineworld too.

The new MHA movie supposedly takes place around where the manga is now so potential spoilers for anyone only following the anime.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,803 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

Times of MHA are up on the Cineworld website.

7.30 on the 26th(subbed) and 27th(dubbed) of February.

I'll post if more locations become available.

Expect both of these to sell out fairly quickly. Additional screenings may be put on depending on demand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,803 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

MHA is also on in the Vue Liffey Valley, 7pm dubbed, 8.30 subbed both nights.

Seem to be the only locations in Ireland.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,803 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

Two subtitled screenings of MHA have been added for The Gate in Cork. 6.30pm on the 26th and 27th.

The Lighthouse just added some more screenings of Weathering With You if anyone missed it last month.

Vue Liffey Valley have added a bunch of extra MHA screenings sub and dub over the weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,803 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul is screening in Cineworld next month. April 13th dubbed, 15th subbed. No times as of yet.

Would the Hero Academia movie be understandable for someone that just follows the manga?

More than anime watchers. The new movie takes place around where the manga is now.

EDIT: Or if you meant Two Heroes on Netflix it's a side story so should be fine.
