I wonder will they have new material by then ?

Their gigs at the moment are usually an hour long, so id be hoping we'd have a few new songs by next summer to lengthen the set ?

New album already in the bag. They finished it off during the summer when they took a couple of weeks off from gigging. Got my tickets too and can not wait because try as I might I just cannot secure Vicar Street tickets in Dec.

Some still available, I just checked. Not many though, they announced 3 hours ago on IG that there are only a few left.

    Bump.
Got the email yesterday that it's postponed, as expected.
No new date yet but I'd expect it to be put back a full year.

A great doc with them presented by John Kelly was shown over the last week and should be still up on the Rte Player.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Anyone know if there's support tonight?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,847 ✭✭✭dasdog

Not Just Mustard unfortunately. Aoife Nessa Frances and Wunderhorse.

My forth gig of the week tonight ;) but really looking forward to this one. Haven't been to Iveagh Gardens since the Pixies but its a nice little setup.

Ah, should be a good one. They must be on a high after Glasto and the reception they got. Proper homecoming. Really looking forward to it.

They were one of the highlights of primavera for me, current set is awesome & imagine it will be buzzing back in dublin.

I love the Iveagh Gardens. In, Kerala kitchen curry, pint, on the grass listening to Aoife Nessa in 5 minutes flat.

They were fecking unbelievable. You'll have a ball. Get up near the front. Great craic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,847 ✭✭✭dasdog

Helped that there were no drunken boggers or inquisitive nordies.

In for a treat if you are going tomorrow.

Great gig, great crowd, great venue. Couldn’t fault anything

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,051 ✭✭✭Gloomtastic!

Awesome! As said, get to the front, avoid the middle bump covering the wires if you can and go mental. Wish I was going again tonight, enjoy. 😎

Heading to tonight's gig. Is the grass covered with those large mats they sometimes use or is it gonna be a muckfest?

Yeah, about 2/3s covered, a bit of grass at the back, nice for sitting around on early doors if you get a bit of sun. Ideal set up.

Superb gig. Venue and band. Really enjoyed it. Was right up the front. Tis fun up there! Enjoy anyone going tonight!

Ticketmaster refunded my 2020 tickets for this but I never asked them to and they never emailed me. Found out at the door.

Seemed to be a few in the same boat.

One of the Fontaines DC Iveagh Gardens gigs will be broadcast on RTE Radio 1's 'Gig On One' tonight at 7pm.

They had The Divine Comedy last week.

These are the words they're as old as the hills, cooked on a diet of mushrooms and pills.
