No, you know the way chocolate gets after it’s past it’s best. Like that “white” dog shít you’d see back in the 80s.

    Absolutely.

Next you'll be calling fizzy drinks "pop".

    And that's not on.

like mould, or whatever it is? no, but theres an easter egg lying around here somewhere with a light dusting of that on it, (its one of those fancy ones covered in clear plastic, not tinfoil...)

Pffft... I would not only eat any leftovers of the holiday sweets in short order, as is only right and proper, but in Lidl today I bought more! (They still don't have them on discount, the bstads, although Halloween is long gone! - They must be counting on me and my ilk.)

I'm one of those miserable bastards who still puts peanuts/monkey nuts in with the sweets, half hoping one of the little darlings will have an allergic reaction. It's in the spirit of both trick and treat.

The forlorn look on their little faces when I dump a fistful of monkey nuts and like 3 jellies into their bag is just priceless. I F*CKIN LOVE HALLOWEEN.

I suppose it's because of the sheer quantity involved.

I have never seen the sweets in the first pic but I'm assuming that's "candy corn" or something? You can shovel that into a plastic bag.

The second pic is too much to give out on Halloween. People would think you're a paedo.

Please help me understand why more and more Irish are pretending to be American with purely American terms like candy, mall, sneakers, mom, sweater etc etc. It makes me wince a little when coming from someone who's never set foot in the country.

Just be Irish. Stop pretending. Its ok. I promise.

That white stuff is called chocolate bloom, but the chocolate should be still okay to eat. It usually caused by being storage in incorrect temperatures or where there have been dramatic changes in temperature.

It's because the young wans are brought up on the YouTubes watching them yanks play the games and do the things. My nephew had an american accent until about 12, just from watching YouTube.

Maybe that's where it was found to begin with...

It was strangely never an issue years back! :D

All the same, I doubt parents of kids with these allergies allow them wander around the place calling to strangers' doors to get stuff to eat.
