Currently 3.3c with a persistent chilling breeze. Clear sky and a full moon. All concrete surfaces are completely dry and tarmacadam is almost dry too making it a "bright night" as the strong moonlight gets reflected. The leaves dancing in the breeze make it surreal!

Yesterday was the third dry day this November - an empty gauge this morning. A biting breeze blowing has all surfaces dried out allowing the leaves to swirl all around. Overnight low of 2.9c following a max of 8.1c yesterday. Sunny and mostly clear. Currently 4.8c, but feeling much much cooler.

Thick frost now and road is becoming icy outside - rural road and some run-off from the field keeping sections of the local roads very wet.

A sharp frost in this area following a spell of wetter than normal conditions in autumn winter always leads to treacherous road conditions......stretches of dry road interspersed with sections of quite often thick ice.
