Been chatting with one of my oldest friends, Irish but married and settled in Florida for a good number of years now, when something a bit weird came up in conversation. For the size and population of the place Florida would be the equivalent of a major European country, but the only time you hear about it in the news here it's all a bit extreme. Mass shootings, Satanic cults, serial killers, even when the weather in Florida makes the mainstream news here it's because people are dead.

So your man tells me this is actually a thing over there now, funny but maybe in poor taste (not that I care) where there's a sort of game for finding the most oddball news headlines. You put “Florida man” (including quotation marks) into Google followed by your birthday. Just the month and day, leave out the year, and see what hilarity follows.
