Hi folks, would anyone have any info regarding annual berthing t&cs, rates etc for the marina at Ballinasloe. Despite googling same, it seems almost impossible to find anything including even contact numbers. Thanks.

Mooring Options on the Shannon, Shannon-Erne and Erne

On the Shannon Navigation and the Shannon-Erne Waterway, mooring time limit is 5 consecutive days or a total of 7 days in any one month during the period 1 April to 31 October. A winter mooring option is availalbe for these waterways, see below.

The time limit for mooring at or in the vicinity of a public mooring on the Erne System is 48 hours with boats able to return after an absence of four hours.
In high season, if you wish to stay in a location longer than the limit, you are advised to seek a private mooring. Where applicable you can leave the mooring for the minimum waiting time before returning, in order to avoid a fine or other penalty.

    Winter Moorings

In the Closed Season on the Shannon Navigation and Shannon-Erne Waterway, boats are permitted to moor on the public moorings for a period in excess of the 5 day limit imposed in the Open Season. The Closed Season runs from 1 November - 31 March the following year. You can read more about Winter Moorings and how to apply online by clicking here.

The lodge and the marina are now distinct entities. The marina apparently is now owned by the owner of a petrol service station that is relatively nearby. If you ring the Moycarn Lodge, they will provide you with the contact number to the current owner of the marina.
