    I’m a mess. I’m 36 years old with a bmi of 48. I need help.

I’ve pretty much dieted for a lot of my adult life. The most being 4st loss with slimming world online (which went back on plus more).

I know I need to make huge changes in my life but I’m really struggling to find the right help. I don’t have the confidence to join a gym and be on show in front of everybody or do group classes.

Does anybody know of any personal trainers (that have their own studio or private space in gym) that also give great nutritional advice? Somebody that I would have to be accountable too and have weigh ins?

The thoughts of even posting this makes me feel sick but the thoughts of living the rest of my life the way I am makes me feel worse.

I would be very grateful if anybody could point me in the right direction please.

    Preferably in the Naas/Newbridge/Kildare area.

dont panic!, you dont need to do everything at once. the easiest thing would be to start walking. do 10 min the first day and build it up slowly, you would be amazed at how you can build up your walking stamina and it will boost your confidence and mood. i would say there is no point seeing a personal trainer now as there is very little physical activity you can do or go see a doctor first before you see a trainer. in your case you will get the easy wins from getting you diet under control.
you just need to find a regime that excites you but needs to be something you can see yourself doing in the long term. make it a project for yourself and spend some time getting to understand the mechanisms around weight gain and weight loss. at that bmi you are probably well on the way to type 2 diabetes so look into blood sugar control and ways of eating that will improve your sugar control in a prompt manner.
    goo luck!
