I'm doing higher level music for the leaving cert and plan to do 4 songs on one instrument plus the musescore technology. I was hoping to play 4 songs on bass guitar along with a backing track but I have heard that this was disallowed several years ago? Applicants now have to play essentially 'live' with other people accompanying them? Can any teachers/students/music students of recent years confirm this? Playing to a backing track would be so much easier for me.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
