Hi. I'm going backpacking in India for 8 weeks in January.
I was talking to a friend of a friend that told me about a vitiman supplement that can boost your immune system and help fight of "Delhi belly" and some other things

Anyone know what he might of been talking about??

    Psychosomatic nonsense primarily.

There's plenty of immune suppressants around but no general immune system boosters. And vitamin supplements are of limited use unless diagnosed with a deficiency.

So today I got a probiotic supplement which the lady in the shop said will help

I'm going to try them anyways and see

Somehow boosting the immune system is basically the key to cancer prevention and as such there's nothing on a supermarket shelf that will help with that it's literally snake oil. Probiotics may have other benefits though so not a complete waste of money
