Roku - Smart DNS / VPN

Picked up a Roku Express player today, very handy for Netflix but can anyone suggest the best way to get bbc i player, 4od, etc? Reading about smart dns and vpn but not sure of the best path. Would it be configured on my router so any device connected would appear to be in UK?
