So you have just won €5 million what would be the first car you would buy?

For me it would be the new M5 competition pack with a few extras..... It's nice to dream

Irish lotto would probably be a top end Lexus.

Euromillions would be a Ferrari GTC4 lusso. The V12 one.

    M

I'd actually buy something ordinarily affordable like a 12 year old LS, S Class etc but have it main dealer maintained with no expense spared. I'd know I won, nobody else would :D

It would be hilarious to drop my 05 Avensis into Toyota and tell them to replace anything that even looks worn, and have their body shop look at it. Money no object.:pac:

    E39 M5 and an E60 M5.

Then buy my E46 M3 back just because I miss it he odd time.

Then I'd through the cash into a fully kitted out tinkering around workshop at home.

BMW 635 csl "Batmobile" for me.

Irish lotto: probably an RS6 Avant.
Also a full restoration and rebuild of the DC2 by someone like J's Racing.

Euromillions: Agera RS, and move to a country with better roads to drive it.

This is actually what I'd do with my 16 year old cruiser, full rebuild from the ground up.. back to showroom.. I love it that much....

    And an RS6 avant....

    Audi RS6 Avant on 5million.
    Porsche 918 Spyder with more.

Imagine the cost probably be 2.5 times the cost of a new one lol

I'd just get my 93 Corolla xli a top class full top to bottom nut and bolt restoration

Either a BMW M or an Audi RS.

To people not into cars they just look like the average BMW or Audi so you can sort of hide the fact you won.

I have always said the first car I buy if I won the lotto would be a brand new Renault, fresh off the showroom floor. I would then drive it out the gate and crash it into a wall. And probably torch it.

    Did I mention I don't like renaults?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,586 ✭✭✭4068ac1elhodqr

Not a Lamborghini Veneno, it would instead be an old Toyota Corolla, or maybe a used GT86, if feeling superfly.
Wouldn't want everyone knowing I won that blasted lotto, again.

No car in particular but I would set up a garage collection of some description, probably with cars I just liked over the years. Different types of cars. Most exotic would be a porsche 911 but probably not a new one.

    Porsche 911
Bmw m5 saloon and audi rs6 avant
    Mercedes SL

All used so not to waste it all

Actually talking with my brother the other day about the euromillons and that if I won I'd do the exact same thing with my O6 Corolla hatchback. The cars an absolute beast and has never given me an ounce of trouble especially with all the pulling and dragging she's done.

Splash out on a new radio that has Bluetooth, sick of throwing away CDs that keep getting scratched :D

If I won the Irish lotto then this:

    Nissan-Tiida_2007_Sedans_17111110541_1.jpg

If I won the Euromillions then I'd splash out on a full tank of petrol for it too.

    Living the dream!

A paddy spec Corolla with wind up windows.
And I'd never wash it or even bother to service it.

Sure I could keep buying another one when when it blows up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,060 ✭✭✭Sexual Chocolate

A toss between an M140i or RS3. Probably throw one of those new Ranger Raptors in for the craic as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭Gorgeousgeorge

No expense spared Fully built 20b triple rotor rx7

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,215 ✭✭✭khalessi

5 million lotto, win I'd buy a few different ones
    VW splitty mids 1960s,
    1976 Land Rover 110” coil-sprung,
    Merc E class cabriolet,
    VW Kharmann Ghia and
    VW electric bus

and all my previous cars if they still exist

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,282 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

No expense spared Fully built 20b triple rotor rx7

And it would still only be reliable for about a week

I am not greedy but a 23 window deluxe micro bus would be my priority.

Well if I win the euromillions next week I'd be picking up the following.
There's no way I'd only settle for one car.

    Audi SQ7 or BMW X5 M550i - . Perfect for the Family
    BMW M4
    Porsche 911
    McLaren P1
    Ferrari F8 Spider
Ford Ranger Raptor-I've always wanted a crew cab ever since I watched the Fall Guy as a child.

BMW i8. I just think it looks amazing, no idea about the spec.

I'd do the same with a Fiasco, sorry Fiat, but I'd torch it in the entrance to Fiasco Ireland.

Ahhh, another keeping the faith. :D Yep, I'd also restore mine.

I'd probably get one of these.

    landscape-1463500765-dsc-0807-1280x851.jpg

Series one example with the lighter bodypanels and the mad futuristic interior.

    Ford RS2600 Capri

    ford_capri-rs2600-1970-74_r2.jpg

    Aston Martin Ulster.

    canvas.jpg

    And one of these;

    Alfa%20Romeo%20SZ%20(1).jpg

Because they disgust and enthral people in about equal measure. :D

And NSX Type R, second series.

    2002_Honda_NSXR1.jpg

If it was gun to my head down to just one? Well I already have my DC2 so that's the "practical" car(well....) so it would have to be the NSX R. The others are fantastic, but with the NSX the words "I wonder will it start this morning" would never be heard. Though of the rest the oul Capri would probably be second place there. Or at least when it was troublesome a belt of a hammer would be all the tool you'd need to get it going again. :D

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

A proper Escort Cosworth for the weekends.

For during the week, probably a M850i xDrive Gran Coupe for driving to the shops...

For a car to spoil myself with, it'd be a resto mod type deal of a Capri. I'd love to think what it'll be if they made one today.

A few folks here talking about setting up a barn find for the future :P When it comes to thinking of a car collection, i'd want to put something together that was interesting. Such as a 407 Saloon, SW & Coupe (my first car was a 407). Or 1 of each generation of a model of car that stands out, such as an Escort, and 3 series to show how they've developed over time from design and function. Or a collection of SAAB 93's as mentioned earlier. They were a wild range of cars and some of the design features were really well thought out in them. It took me ages to get used to putting the key in the steering wheel column again!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 243 ✭✭patmahe

Ariel Nomad and about 100 acres of abandoned forestry tracks.

The Ariel would be the first of many cars, but it would be first.

My daily driver would be a Golf R so I could blend in with the masses but still have a bit of power on tap.

I'd have a few more tasty cars in a lockup somewhere.

    Datsun 240z
    RS6
    Golf R

I'd pay off the credit union for the one I have, sure it's new anyway.

I'd also get a prius and sneer at people.
