Partial capacity benefit and education

I am wondering if someone on partial capacity benefit/invalidity pension can attend a third level institution for a higher degree (PhD). Or is it the case that you will lose your payment if you go back to education? I have a partner, so not sure if I would qualify for other payments. Thanks.

If I am understanding this correctly

Then you would have to go back on to Invalidity in order to return to education

Thanks very much. Do you know how I can find out how many contributions I have paid since entering employment? I was self employed for years, which would be my concern.
