Linking HUE lights with Nest outdoor camera

Hi,

Im trying to link the HUE lights with my nest camera so if there is motion it will turn on the lights. Im trying through the google home app but having no joy. Has anyone successfully done this?

Used to have a great setup with Stringify but they are gone now. Curious to know how others are doing it now also.

You'll be able to do this with OpenHab or Home Assistant but you'll need to put some effort it as it's not straightforward like stringify

When i google it it guides me through nest hue connect but wont leave me complete it as nest is done through google but nothing on how to do it through google home. Bit frustrating as they are promoting the fact that they work together. Shouldnt be this difficult!

I had a look at the options. Would prefer an out of the box solution (although i do see the merits of them).

I suppose its a case of waiting for googles works with assistant programme to catch up.

Wonder is it a case that u did it pre changes? Can you let me know how you did it?

There's no more development licences for nest stuff now anyway, so ifttt and rpi options are out unless you had it set up already
