Not the initial poster but it's really grating and noticible.

It sounds very unprofessional the way he goes through the teams. So monotone.

I don't mind Jamie's analysis but I had to mute the team run through. Perhaps I'm just sensitive this morning.

He's much better talking normally, like he is now talking about the second rowers.

I agree, he seems fine talking normally about players, like you say it was grating.

Stick on ITV....I’m sure you will find something wrong with that panel as well

He's been asked to do it by Rte. He's a rugby player working as a pundit for the first time.

Maybe I'm being unfair but I suspect if anyone other than Heaslip read that out no one would bay an eyelid.

His in game commentary is quality, his studio commentary is detailed and informed. If he isn't natural reading out a team sheet im not going to lose any sleep over it.

    Anyway back to the rugby.

Ah Zangief, the only character I cleared Street Fighter 2 with!

I have some FOMO of not being there watching the crowd build as I sit here with my reason for not going (6 month old) ... he just farted and laughed though so we’re all good.

Hopefully Ireland do a job on the Japanese lineout, kill that platform.

My favourite thing about Ryan's score against Scotland is that in an effort to get as low as possible he actually headbutts the ground.

Thoughts and prayers with the ground.

I’d say the groundsman is still filling in the divot.

If Japan haven't shaken off the nerves and indecision from last week they are going to have a bad day today.

Really obvious difference in the body language between the two teams walking through their respective tunnels there.

    Ireland by 24.

    Good opening for Japan

Japan have so many players beyond the ball, bordering on obstruction.

Better start from Japan. Game on!

Anyone else hearing another commentator constantly in the background over the RTE commentators?

That's the way we expected them to play.

We need to not panic and keep our line intact

Have to say,I'm loving that the Japanese fans have shown up in their colours to fill the stadium! Also makes it easier to see our lot!
