Any thoughts on the phones ?

Looking at the specs of the G7 power way better than my current aging Iphone 6. Do you need to create a Spain amazon account or do other Amazon accounts work?

I like them. I bought the G7 plus, feel a little bit ripped off now that it's going so cheap, but it is a lovely phone. My main reason for buying it was the camera and that they all have pretty much stock android.
The link at the bottom of the OP pretty much covers them all.

There is a good community on XDA for them. https://www.xda-developers.com/moto-g7-moto-g7-play-moto-g7-plus-moto-g7-power-forums/

I just use one amazon account for all of them, but can't remember if I had to activate each one way back when I did it initially.

you can use your own account

have a g7 power and its a brilliant phone for that money, id call that half price easily for the specs and quality

The g7 power will be will be a little heavy

Also see it's not full HD

I got a redmi 7 recently with the same 6.2" screen size and it wasn't full HD, I didn't like the resolution at all, ended up getting rid of it

What’s the screen like? Resolution seems pretty low compared to the others

The Moto has pretty much Stock Android, NFC, More Ram, better screen and better battery with EU delivery, it's also lighter.

I find Kimovil seem to rate Xiaomi that little bit better anyway, and seem to go a bit harsh on Meizu and some others.
Although in that instance giving it 7.7 for cost effectiveness at €110 and the Moto G7 Power the same for €140 may seem pretty fair, but I would have maybe given it a bit higher. Much better phone.

I'd agree with you, you won't get much better than that for that money.

The Moto G range is a good solid bet. Hardware is usually top noch, build quality is excellent in my own experience.

However if you enjoy getting regular updates (excluding quarterly security) then steer clear.
You'll get 1 main android update after 1+ years.
I found the range solid but very stale and boring.
Motorola were 100 times better when owned by Google.
    Now I steer clear.
Your mileage may vary...the above is a personal opinion.
I'd personally recommend a Xiaomi phone instead. At least you'll get more MiUi updates. Plus usually 2 major Android updates (Redmi just 1).

Just wondering how do you find the camera as that would also be my main incentive to buy this?

Very very good. As it was the only reason I bought the phone, it was/is the best camera available at the price. Beating all of the others (some marginally) at the time (including beating pocophone that kept getting mentioned). Now it is much cheaper in this sale, there is unlikley to be anything as good unless it's a couple of years older and was originally €600+.
I was using the link from the OP in the xda thread, but now I use this Google Camera in post #41. doesn't require any config. Just download and install.

I would agree in the past, but there have been a few updates since April already. I had unlocked bootloader and modded so I was constantly getting nags about updates.

I eventually turned it off and am aware I am a couple behind, but Lineage OS was released so I am putting that on when it has been finer tuned.
You can see the firmware updates here - https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/

Many Xiaomi phones come with ads built in so they can earn more cash from the purchase.

I like Xiaomi, but when other brands are competing in the same price range, Xiaomi are often not the better option.

I'm not sure its true that most xiaomis come with ads

I did get one from ghearbest with a timebomb of adware

Anyone know if it has NFC? Only certain G7 models do as far as I am aware. This feature is important to me.
I have a G6 at the moment and it's great.

    The G7 Plus definitely does,

    The G7 Power does too - https://support.motorola.com/uk/en/products/cell-phones/moto-g-family/moto-g7-power/documents/MS137361

I bought the Deep Indigo but prefer the red (friend has it). Anyway, if you buy it, you may need a good USB C cable. The cable it comes with is a USB C both ends.

I buy Baseus and Ugreen as they get great reviews and have always worked for me (USB C needs to be a good cable)

They are the two in particular that I have a couple of.

From what I found the , Euro model does , international model doesn’t

I bought a G7 Power from Amazon and it does NOT have NFC.

It's a great phone, no complaints and the battery life is ridiculous. I can get 4 days without charging no problem.

They're great phones. I'm still rocking the G5 plus and won't be changing yet. Might wait for the G8 to change. Cost me around €200 and I must have it about 2 years. This one does have NFC. Make sure you read the specs if you're looking for NFC.

Euro plug. But you can buy a Eu to UK adaptor in Dealz.

Moto have this insane system whereby they sub - segment their models by region, so the "global" models which have nfc generally get substituted in western Europe by an nfc free version, I think at launch of the "global" market only Russia got the nfc enabled "global" one which was reviewed. If that's changed, should be a good phone for the money.

NFC I don't think is on my G7 Power dual sim.

Its hard to know on amazon because they get the descriptions wrong.
They also don't filter the comments. So you get G7 single sim comments under the G7 power dual sim phone. Completely useless.

    No idea anymore.

The UK site says it does have NFC (but the UK version doesn't have NFC)
The Amazon Page says it does have NFC but the model in the description is XT1955-4 which doesn't have NFC.

The model that is supposed to be sold in Spain, France, Germany and Russia is the XT1955-7 which does have NFC.

What is with all the messing? :(

    Table here

    https://www.xda-developers.com/motorola-moto-g7-power-leak-rumored-specs/

Note: none of them have 5Ghz Wifi, which I was surprised to see. Mine had very poor reception. I stopped using it.

Yes it's very odd and it's not at all clear with regarding NFC. The handset on Spanish Amazon states it does have it. The UK Amazon says it doesn't.
Comments/ Questions answered shed no light on it.
I may just chance it and order from Spain.

Kimovil says that amazon Spain is selling the XT1955-7 which is the version with NFC.

My wife has a G6 64Gb with 5.7 inch screen for just over a year and it has NFC so I would think the G7 plus has to have NFC. From what I remember the specs for amazon phone were different from others at the time. She has dual sim (amazon purchase) and most others didn’t.

I have a G7 plus and it definitely has NFC. But it seems that the power only has NFC if you get the XT1955-7

    From Argos.

I bought the G7-Plus from Amazon Spain back in March (for EUR242, incl. courier delivery to Ireland at the time- which I think was remarkable value)

    1. It *has* NFC
    2. The processor is different from the specs- it actually has the Snapdragon 660- which was a pleasant surprise and entirely unexpected

Other than that- its as described.

Note- you get a gel case in the box- strongly recommend you get a stronger case and screen protectors- I'm on my third screen protector thanks to the kids borrowing my phone

Highly recommend the G7-Plus from Amazon Spain- its even better than I was expecting.

I got a G6 plus in the spring for about the money in the OP, very happy with it, as far as I can make out it has NFC, I can definitely use Google Pay anywhere I've tried to. Bargain, IMO!

More expensive than comparable phones from competitors, but nice clean interface and no crap bundled on it. Updates incredibly slow- but you should get 1 generational update on it- probably around March/April 2020.

You could do worse than buy it- but, its pricey enough given its extremely basic specs.

One of the main reasons to have near stock Android is frequent updates. My old Motorolas got updates but I don't think the G7 Power I have got many. That said it's currently at August 1 2019 and the Redmi I'm using is August 5. The Redmi has got frequent updates since I got it.

I have the Moto g7 xt1962-5 dual SIM bought from Amazon in and it has nfc.
As an aside, any of you able to lock the phone using fingerprint.
I could with my old g6 but it won't on my g7

You can unlock it with a fingerprint- but not lock it (just use the power button).
It is different from the G6 (I have a G6+ too).
