Casablanca - great dialogue, and it shows what's really important in any conflict : ordinary people not "getting their hole" because of that damned war!

The bridge on the River Kwai

The conditions they worked in and suffered. They became institutionalised for the creation of the build, even though the allies wanted it blown up.

The Bridge on the River Kwai

Just an awesome film and the portrail of the conditions that the Allied prisoners had to endure, which by the way the Japanese have never properly apologised for.

Casablanca is a classic movie... but in terms of "war movies", River Kwai fits the bill perfectly, so it gets my vote. It has Alec Guinness too - before he was a Jedi Knight

    How fast can you run?
    Fast as a leopard!

First Blood all the way. Anyone who doesn't feel pain and eats things that would make a billy goat puke gets my vote every time.

    First Blood.

I liked the ingenuity of Rambos traps in the forest against the local sheriffs deputies and it highlighted how crap things get for those post war.

Putting all the movies I've not seen in the one post is very good of you.

    Abstention!

    Gallipoli.

Despite having aged badly, a movie about the horrors of the Great War deserves to get through.

They should do a "re-make" and feature the Irish who went out and were slaughtered in what has mostly become a forgotten episode for the majority.

I’ve seen none of these either but I’ll vote for Gallipoli cause I like waltzing Matilda and Banjos post

    First Blood
I actually prefer this to the sequel as it's more grounded.

    Also the alternative ending!!

3 - 3 between First Blood and Gallipoli so far

    He's not a terrorist. He's white, so he's a lone wolf

I've only seen one so don't feel I can vote

I worry that's going to be the case quite often for me

    That's your decision :)

Though if it's a favourite why not give it a leg up :D

I might in head to heads ;)
I think it's very unfair in a battle royale
