"Hack" I saw on Reddit yesterday. Developer Options > All animation scale to 0.5x

    A "hack" to make your phone feel way faster if you enable Developer Options.

    I've been using it for a day and it works great. Switching between apps etc. is far faster and makes the phone feel new. The logic is obvious.. Can't believe I only saw it now.

    Apparently it works for anything that uses Android animation. Many things are quicker. Like my Reddit app opens images faster.


    You can also set it to 0 which I did for an hour but I'm not that in need of time.

    Personal preference here.

    I prefer to leave them at 1, as animations look smoother to me.
    When I change to .5 it's faster all right, but animations are less smooth, or even too abrupt, which I personally don't like.
    To me it's not worth the trade-off.

    However your mileage may vary :-)
