Funnily enough, I just got a message on Instagram (of all places...) to say the half marathon is planning to go ahead in January 2021, but they don't mention a date as of yet. So maybe there will be news on it soon :o

If the body holds up I’d be seriously tempted by that.

Races in Spain are usually fantastic

Just noticed the proposed date. Valentines day. How do you fancy a nice weekend in seville? Oh the marathon is on too... That's a coincidence. Sure I will bring the runners just in case.

I had flights booked for Manchestet last April and took advantage of Aer Lingus allowing a change for free so switched to Malaga for the weekend of the 21st.
If this goes ahead on the 14th it'll cost me in a lot of ways

I had moved plans again to Castellon (north of Valencia) for Feb 28th
They had to pull the plug too but I might stick to that for 2022 as my registration will roll over.

But, if Seville is late enough in November I could be tempted. I do enjoy the Spanish marathons a lot

It moved to the first Sunday of December a couple of years ago. So its pencilled in for December 5th this year I think.

That’s a bit daft two class Spanish marathons 2/3 weeks apart.

Maybe I’ll run them both :)

They are both great events. December might be the safer weather option. Seville could still be fairly warm in mid November.

Ultimately, Itziger will make the final call... he loves that Valencian Ale

If I’d to pick I’d probably do Valencia again

In terms of the marathon itself and organisation, Valencia would shade it. It's a faster course and no particularly narrow or cobbled streets/light-rail terrain to run through. December in Valencia is pleasant running conditions.

However, Seville as a city offers more than Valencia for me as a visitor.

Right now, I would probably choose Valencia, but beggars can't be choosers. Anything would do right now :D

Ah, lads, keep Sevilla for oul doll spotting and tourism. Valencia is where the marathon is at. Besides the fact that I'm registered already!

We might have to look for a new bar though. That other place was closing as I arrived last time. Their Sunday times had completely changed, the twats.

Giving serious thought to this. Registered for it a few years back, but an injury forced me to withdraw. Had a lovely weekend there instead and it's one of the best cities I've been to.
