In contrast to my last post, Gamestop has an offer of 4 used games for €20. The games are mostly PS3 and X360 but there are some 3DS and Wii U (remember that one?) games too. I was tempted to buy BotW (Wii U version) even though I already have my own copy. In the end, I got Super Mario Maker for 3DS, Hey! Pikmin, Mario Sports Superstars and Detective Pikachu (this is the one I was mostly interested in). Anyways, it's a fiver a-piece but I'll wait til I receive them to cast my final judgement.

Had to search a bit but here's the link

Smyths are selling the labo Vr kit (kit 04) for €15. Is that a good deal?

It seems to be sets from within the set. Is it?
and look to be Out of stock anywhere I have checked.

I'm looking at about 10 of them in the clearance bin in Smyths Tallaght here..

It seems shops want to clear the 3DS & Labo stock.

I haven't picked up any 3DS games as I just can't see myself going back to play stuff like Miitopia, Monster Hunter or even stuff I like such as Warioware. I have 50+ DS games that I never go back to play other than 7 or 8 of them. ,

3ds: got a few stragglers ... Got new super mario 2 recently since I always enjoy these games. I know it's not the best. But still.
Also kid Icarus ... mainly cause it gets great reviews ... we shall see. Tomadachi life for the kids. Mario and Luigi superstar saga as it's supposed to be the best game in the series, so I want to give this series one more try.
    ( These were 10 - 20 quid, not the 5 euro offers )

I think if you like JRPGs / grindy games..
    there is a lot on 3ds. I don't so ... I think my 3ds "collection" is done.

... Unless I see a cheap majoras mask or Samus returns :)

After seeing AVGN's take on Majora's Mask, I'm gonna give that one a miss

Especially since the 3DS remake went on to fix a lot of the criticism thrown at the original n64 release. I was always put off by the time-management element but played the 3DS release last Summer and fell in love with the deal. Never really played anything quite like it.

Played on a pc emulator before.
Gave up after a while. Was just too intense.
So, you can save more often or ???

It's 40 stg new on amazon.co.uk.left.the.eu at the moment. Which is not a bargain. So off topic.

Why don't people just crack their 3DS? I bought one off Adverts years ago and it's the best thing ever.

Anyone know the best place to pick up Mario Sonic 2020? I just can't stomach paying full price for something like that. Only interested in the Rugby mode.

I had a cracked 3ds before well one you needed a magic cart for and being honest I don’t value games if I do it that way and also I love haveing a large collection of games to look at,

Also the fact must of these games are only 5 euro now that’s less then a gin and tonic ha

Got a few phone calls from stores about my orders yesterday for games with no boxes, to see if I still wanted them. Took them anyway as I'm happy to print my own sleeves.

Then this wouldn't be the bargain alert thread ... It'd be the "how to steal stuff" thread or "I like advertisements in games" thread or "how to ensure the industry moves to a streaming model" thread or "don't let you kids do game design or programming cause someone will steal their work and they won't get paid" thread. :)

I LITERALLY saw a reddit post about the art of Valiant Hearts at lunchtime today, checked the price and it was €20. Down to 6 beans now hours later. That is a creepy coincidence. Thank you!

First ten mins of Assassins creed 3 and it plays really well. Impressed.

Nearly bought it in argos the other day but the reviews that it ran very poorly put me of. Apparently it's been patched? Only other experience of Assassins Creed is Black Flag on the Wii U. Worth a punt for €15?

For €15 you get a pretty impressive looking and well put together game. Not sure if the story will hold up. But so far i'm impressed.

Did anyone buy those 2DS xl from Amazon.de?

was there any bother getting them shipped?

Debating on whether getting one for my collection not to sure what games there are on it.

Bday is coming up soon and wouldn't mind it. Have a switch already though.

Amazon de for me is hit and mess, last item I ordered there was Notting in the Box from amazon opened a claim they refused to refund me, had to get a charge back on my account

Bought a phone from them it was faulty returned it and took weeks I mean weeks to get the money back from them.

You can still buy from the uk amazon with no issues I would say buy from the uk.

But 3ds games are a quite a lot different then say the switch, 3ds is a handheld console and the games are for say a handheld console. The screen isn’t the best on it as well.

However there is so many good games in the system and as the console is end of life bargains can be had, I got 6 3ds 1st party games for 40 euros from GameStop over the past few weeks, your talking about your Marino’s your Pokemon’s your star fox 64 and so on.

It’s a great console however it’s not like the switch it’s more lib the vain of a gameboy

The switch to me is more like the Ps vita and what the vita could have been, old ports, great 1st party support and great selection of indie games. Also the fact Nintendo didn’t give up on the thing after 2 years ....

Played a couple of hours of Valiant Hearts last night, it's a gorgeous game. Side scrolling puzzle platformer with realistic physics (no jumping over or off things), not particularly hard and doesn't punish mistakes. Story is lovely. DEFINITELY worth €6.

Got a Pikachu 2ds xl from Amazon France. Was a US seller and shipped from Amazon Italy. It was fulfilled by Amazon. That's the important bit. It means returns are easy if there is an issue. Got it in a few days. No problems at all. Brand new. In a Pikachu box. What's not to like :) Also - you'll need an EU device as 3ds and games are region locked. I think I've only ever returned a couple of things to Amazon, so really I can't comment on what might happen If I did need to make a return.

If you like JRPGs (I don't) and can get games cheap then it's well worth getting. Or if you are a Nintendo fan. For me it's an indulgence to play a few Zelda and Mario games on (got tired of timesharing the kids 2DS xl) :) And we also have a Switch. Think it's a great little machine and the games we have (at least) work and run really well on it.
