The Raiders and Jets picks are influenced by what happened in Week 1 so I wouldn't be surprised if they stump me.

I can't remember which network the patriots vs dolphins is on. But going what we saw week 1, they should have a "viewer discretion is advised" notice before the game goes on air. It could be a disaster and I know the dolphins seem to have this thing with the patriots in Miami but no miracle in Miami this time around. The eagles being on SNF this early in the season gives me a chance to watch another game at 6pm. I want to watch red zone as little as possible. I don't know why but the niners vs bengals game might be competitive and I'm not saying it will be good just competitive.

    Anyone watching tonight?

I HATE this "behind the QB" angle they are persisting with ....Just can't see what's happening.

Panthers stopped on 4th but it did look like a mean spot.

Ah, that's interesting, they only have two cameras to cover the game! Games suspended due to lightening.....I swear this has happened to me 3 or 4 times when I stay up to watch a game...

Cam Newton looks a shadow of his former self. Gone is the bowling over defenders running threat, and the number of passes he plain missed on, one-hopping them into the ground. He's surely not recovered from the shoulder injury from last season...even his long (ish) pass early in the game was underthrown and should have been a TD, but he couldn't push the ball past 40 yards.

If Carolina lose next week, they should shut him down for the season imo, maybe even after this display you could argue for it, but with Kyle Allen as a backup, you'd think they'd have to move for another QB.

The problem with his style of play is he constantly gets hit on the shoulders with his running. Pocket qbs will always be the best for a franchise long term as they protect themselves better

When he runs, he's good and it also makes him a better passer when that threat is there.

Limit his ground game to preserve his health, and you're left with an above average passing QB.

I think theres grounds for criticism whichever path the Panthers take with him. Maybe he'll improve as a passer. I guess 30 is still pretty young for a QB these days, and he can't be a dual threat deep into his thirties. I'm just sceptical that his current passing ability will allow him to stick around that long.

That Newton lad has some odd fashion ideas. Think my great granny had a head scarf like that about 1954

Carolina travel to Arizona next week. There will be serious panic stations if they drop that game.

After losing a game in which they would have been favoured and dropping to 0-2.... Do you maybe sit in your locker and think 'hmm, will I just leave the headscarf until the next day..'
