    Hello everyone,

I'm a 24 year old lad and I work in Dublin during the week and go home to Galway on the weekends. I'm finding it really hard to make friends in dublin that I can hang out with in the evenings and have the craic with. I like football. I'd be up for trying anything new though like video games / board games / rock climbing etc...

could anyone give me some suggestions? :)

    thank you

I think it can be hard when you're not around when people socialise - i.e. the weekends. I would suggest join a club of some sort (soccer/rugby/gaa) but if you're back in Galway at the weekend I'm not sure that's a goer. Is there a game of 5-a-side you could find? Have you looked into meetup.com?

I don't really have a choice with the weekends, I want to go home to see my family and also the place I'm staying is only mon - fri. I do play 5 a side on a monday night for two hours. But i'd be looking to do something tuesday to thursday! :P

The 5 a-side would normally be a good place to make contacts.

What are your interests (aside from just doing something to meet people),? Try to pursue the interests first and it might be easier to connect with people through them.
