We're really struggling in the collision today, a lot of tackles slipping and metres after the tackle being given away.

Yeah. Should have been offside but Owens felt the cynical play to deliberate manufacture a penalty negated the offside and played on.

No he was not offside as there was no ruck so therefore no offside line.

Surely he led with his elbow into that tackle?

England getting a lot of joy trucking it up the middle. Not very attractive or original but it works.

Youngs giving Ireland a lot of help

    Line out a shambles

Murray was knocked out immediately there.
This is going exactly the way we didn’t want.

    Jacob is not James Lowe.

Ah listen, losing a lineout like that is awful.

    He did.

Should have been penalty Ireland, yellow card for England player and no try.

Line out today is making the case for Toner starting v Scotland

Our attacking structure hasn't been working, no incision in the center so far.

Kearney lucky they didn't look at his closeline on curry in that try

Farrells clean out on that last ruck was.. interesting

Nothing wrong with it. Got his arm under the player by looks of it

    Stander miles off the pace
    Kleyn offers nothing much IMO
    Murray looks miles off pace
    VDF going well

We are kicking a lot because we can't over power them

100% Owens had to have had a good view of that...

England have been good but the number of errors, both forced and unforced the majority in attacking positions from us is shocking.

    He did.

Should have been penalty Ireland, yellow card for England player and no try.

Did Murray not just get himself in the wrong place? Daly steps very quickly! At the rate Murray was traveling if it wasn't the arm it would have probably have been the hip.

    Lineout struggling

His elbow was leading there. Citing perhaps?

Only for our fortunate try and Ben Young's display this would be going out of sight. We look like Spring 2019 rather than 2018.

Some very rusty basics and on-field communication, but then that is what these games are for and England have played Wales twice versus our facile victory over Italy.

I can't remember the last time I was confident about an Irish line-out. Toner is the only reliable part of it. Best, Cronin etc are wildly inconsistent but Best is awful.

Ffs Best. Another lost line out.

    This could get ugly.

    Lineout is non-existent.

Murray did get his head on the wrong side, but May(also quick stepper) did raise his elbow into the tackle.

Why so complicated on a defensive lineout:confused:

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,674 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Nothing wrong with that throw. England just read it well.

Who the **** made that line-out call?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,674 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Our attacking structure hasn't been working, no incision in the center so far.

That's moreso because we're not getting over the gainline enough with our forwards.

The jumpers and lifters were moving all over the place. No one knew where the ball was going.

What’s going on with Best darts. The flight of them looks completely off

Pods not helping him that said

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,199 ✭✭✭troyzer

Important thing to note is that England are winning our lineouts while playing two opensides.

    Shocking.

If you can't win collisions then you have to kick. But you can't kick if you keep losing lineouts.

    What was that from Jacob?
