I got him because of the uncertainty that comes with a new manager. Might not have a loyalty factor with Ryan if he doesn't perform. He's the best 4.0 chance at usurping the starter I think.

It is an almighty risk to go without salah (and pool defence ) in my main league but my defence was a wreck altogether until I raised 0.9 by going mane
I do not know how i ended up with 2 newcastle players!!!!

That’s what I went with in the end except switching lacaselles out for Fredericks.........

Can just about afford this team. Very light on the back. Mane instead of Salah and Dedoncker/Cantwell starting. But lots of big hitters there incl. Auba and Aguero.

Dendoncker might drop by deadline
But him back and that’s .1


I wouldn’t be mad on paying 9.5 for firmino either when there are other cheaper options with decent fixtures

Firmino is in the form of his life right now.
I like the idea of having 2 expensive Forwards as it is easier to upgrade to a Kane if he hits form.

Tomori seems nailed for Chelsea at 4.5 and the defence will tighten up with Kante back.

I know this may be obvious but I've overlooked things like this stupidly in the past before - Sterling is 12.2 and is gonna drop tonight. He's in my team at 12.1. Does it make any sense to transfer him out and bring him back in, if I'm gonna keep him? I guess it gives me 0.1m more value in my team should i ever decide to sell him?

Makes no odds because you would sell him for 12.1 and but back for 12.1

Yep, but in that case his sell value remains 12.1 should I want to sell him on WC, or in the next few GWs.

If I keep him for the price drop, he goes to 12m in my team, which is fine but if I want to sell him in future (or this gw) he sells for 12, rather than 12.1.

I'm correct in this logic yeah?

Realise the 0.1M profit by selling and buy back at end of tinkering at 12.1

Just spent a few mins there rage-tinkering and came up with this lot:

Ryan | Button

TAA | Lundstram | Diop | Lowton | Tomori

Cantwell | Mount | Mane | KDB | TBC

Firmino | Agueroooooo | Pukki

GK – really wish I went with Ryan from the start, Heaton was a last minute change

DEF – Digne & Zilchenko have to go; Liverpool not keeping clean sheets so adios VVD and hola TAA….the rest are low cost punts playing for relatively solid-ish teams.

MIDS – Salah to Mane for financial reasons mainly; Mount is a no-brainer; I hate owning Sterling…never had any joy with him now in 4 years playing FPL; Cantwell stays maybe but not happy with double Norwich attack – I think teams will figure them out pretty soon; TBC is still Dendoncker but have 1m to play with

FWD – Firmino…good form; Aguerrooo – nuff said; Pukki – see Cantwell comments above.

Any feedback welcome – haven’t actually pushed the big red wildy button but may do it tonight

I was looking at Firmino too but decided Tammy was as good a bet and cheaper. I wanted Salah over Mane as I'm more scared of not having Salah than him.

In defence, I really like Tomori and I think he's a great player and great value but I don't think they are a good defensive team at all. I'm reluctant to go with a player that I can't really see keeping a clean sheet.

I've Otamendi in my team because I think he's the only nailed on City defender - I'm hoping to find two defenders that rotate well so that I can play 3 at the back

^^^^^ I would prefer double Chelsea than double Norwich and have Abraham instead of Pukki.

Other than that, actually looks ok

On Chelsea - with Kante back they may become more solid and at 4.5m with an eye for goal can’t go to far wrong

I'm quite content with double Norwich - both Pukki and Cantwell are in great form and their fixtures are really, really good for their next 10+. I do think their run will end eventually and they might not be season keepers, but happy to stick with them in my WC.

What's your 3rd striker if you get rid of Pukki?

I'll hold Cantwell as he is cheap - I wonder will teams get wise to Pukki and long term the goals will dry up?

Always a possibility but sometimes seems to take a whole season to suss them. Hence second season syndrome.
