This MOD is banning me for ever post I put up in the golf forum.

I have said on each occasion that what I was posting was my real and honest views, yet he still bans me for every post just because he does not like it. How can therw be open forums if ones opinion is not allowed?

I got a month's ban for simply posting "lmao" to someone's post

The first step in the process is for the user to engage with the mod to discuss the action. Have you attempted to do this and, if so, what was the outcome? As you do appear to be aggrieved by the mod, when was the last time you discussed matters with the mod?

I've tried many times and he's never replied.

I've also askes where he can point me to sort it out, he also never got back to me

I should be allowed to express my opinion even is the MOD in question does not agree with it.

I find it strange that I can't find any pm to keano as I did pm him more than 3 times I think. I wanted to know why i was getting banned for my honest views, and even explained in my posted that it was honest opinion and not trolling as he accused me of.

I also asked him where can I take this as I found it unfair and wanted to also report him for Censorship. He never had the manners to reply

There is an option within your Control Panel which allows you to save sent PMs or not. Yours must be turned off. Steve can get them from Keano though

Please do not mix this appeal up with any complaints about a moderator. This thread will deal with that appeal. Once that is complete you could start a thread in Help Desk if you wish to discuss the moderators other actions.

No, the post above got me a week, that's was maybe 2 weeks ago, you can see the time and date I'm sure.

But I was back after that, and it's the "LMAO" I got the month for

Then on 12/8/19 at 10:05 I got one month ban for "LMAO"..

Opposite views are welcome in any forum here as long as they are respectful of other users and - in general in the sports category are respectful of a player / personality.

I've reviewed all of the mod actions as per your dispute.

I'm upholding everything except the LMAO ban as I believe the mod was justified in the ban but a bit harsh in giving a month off for it. I'm prepared to reduce this to time served on condition that you agree to improve your posting style and fully abide with the forum rules in future:

Personal Abuse
- Posters who abuse others on here will be banned. Permanent bans will be handed out on a first offence if a moderator feels it is warranted. There is no argument on this one. Abuse someone and you will be banned. Calling someone an idiot is abuse. Don't attack the poster, attack the post.
- Attacks on public figures should have be based on actions and without swear words.
'Harrington is a ******' for example is not a valid contribution. Similar posts will likely result in at least
an infraction, possibly a ban for the poster

Pointless Threads and Polls
- Posting any pointless thread or poll will result in the thread being locked. You can be banned for this. Think before you post. If you don't have anything to say then don't bother posting a new thread. Please try to comment as much as you can on any threads you create. If you create a thread in which you ask people to contribute in, contribute first.
- Repeat offenders who post pointless, off-topic posts will be banned.

Arguing with a moderator
- Do not argue with a moderator in a thread after they have given a warning or a ban etc. If you have an issue with a moderator's action then PM the mod in question. They will discuss it with you. You can then, if unsatisfied with the PM route, take things further along the Dispute Resolution Procedure (DRP).

Giving cheek or attitude to a moderator will get you banned.

Do not under any circumstances complain about a mod on this forum. Do it either on PM or in Feedback. Failure to adhere to any of the "mod" related rules will result in an instant 1 week ban.

Your posts, while I accept they were your personal opinion, were only going to 'wind up' and antagonise other posters in that thread. There are better and more respectful ways to get your opinion across.

Further to that, your pm replies to the mod were less than amicable.

Had you attempted to engage in a more adult manner then this may have had a different outcome.

To summarise, all mod actions prior to the LMAO one are upheld, I will reduce your ban length if you agree with the above conditions.
