The vast majority have been replaced by 2-panel oblong carousels (these impinge less on footpath width, while the need for a third or fourth panel has been reduced by changes to stopping patterns and timetable design).

As I understand it, the circular carousels were Irish made, but does anyone know the name of the manufacturer or model?
