Forget best movie / horror ever. We should just do a knock-out competition for best cheese ever. I nominate Stilton :)

Heavily matured cheddar is the pinnacle of cheese.

Comte. Not just an Italian football manager. But a great cheese.

I'm not sure if I interpreted cheese quite correctly mine is a mature cheddar rather than a whiffy cambembert (Boney M )

Ok. So this was a hugely FUN category. :D

I really really liked the majority of the songs submitted - some were new to me and in a slight twist from the other categories, these ones did slightly worse. There was also a few that are on the border of cheese and a few that I couldn't see as being cheese at all.

Ranking them proved challenging as usual but it came down to which songs I most want to turn the stereo up and sing along with while dancing badly around my kitchen.

So it's a brave person who chooses to submit a Christmas song in the middle of summer. A definite gamble and in this case one that didn't pay off I'm afraid. It wasn't even the fact that it was a Christmas song - I just didn't really enjoy it, sorry.

Kicking off the cheese category in 20th place and scoring 1 point is
    Barney92

Ah Barney, welcome to the boyband corner. Pull up a seat and we can regale each other on our favorite songs :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,705 ✭✭✭Ectoplasm

Next up is a song with very low sing-along potential. It grew on me after a few listens but still not very much. Maybe on a night out I could see myself dancing to it but overall not for me I'm afraid.

    19th position goes to
    sKeith
    scoring 2 points.

So, I did a lot of listening to these songs 'blind' in that I didn't know who had submitted what. I wanted to be as unbiased as possible in a 'contest' that is entirely biased :p

Well, when I heard this next song, I was SURE I knew who'd submitted it. Did I?

This scored 3 points in 18th place. There are one or two Westlife songs that could have done well. Unfortunately for
    Green & Red
    this wasn't one of them.
