Does anyone know if it’s worth waiting for Black Friday in November for the prices to drop?
    Thanks!

    No.

The Air and 13-inch MBP were just updated. If you are interested in either, now is a good time. If you can avail of the education discount you can also get a free pair of Beats headphones worth €300+. Alternatively get a refurb.

Thank you, someone else said the same today to me about a refurb, and my first mac that died early this year was a refurb and never gave an ounce of trouble.

Can you give an honest opinion please on the difference between the air and mbp?

The Air is lighter, slimmer and has better battery life. The Pro is more powerful with better graphics, has a slightly better display and has a touch bar instead of function keys (meh). Basically unless you really need the extra power of the Pro the Air should be fine.

The recently updated models may not be available on the refurb store for a while. Maybe a few weeks. Keep an eye as it gets updated every day.
