Problems with sky box

Hope someone can help me out here.
I do not currently have a subscription to sky but still have the old sky+ hd boxes connected to the feed from the lnb in two rooms.
One box is working perfectly but I had reason to disconnect the second one recently and when I power it on it says that it is still initialising and please return shortly. It has been like this for a week.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks in advance

Check and make sure the cables are connected correctly at the back. Could they have become damaged when removing/reconnecting them? You could always try a software update to see if that helps.

Try swapping the boxes to see if the problem is the box or the cable/lnb.
