What'll the cool kids say now when they're stoned?

    Ahh Person ?

It took a lot of human effort to come up with that.

I never understood this saying.. Maybe I'm lucky to not work in the manhole industry or related industries, but I really don't see whatever we decide to call it effecting my life in anyway at all.

When they lift them up to rebrand them they'll have somewhere to throw all the shíte and drug paraphernalia off the sidewalks.

As such, common words such as "bondsman" will be replaced by the non-gendered term "bonds-person," "manhole" becomes "maintenance hole" and a "pregnant woman" will now be referred to as a "pregnant employee".

The municipal code will also replace the terms "sorority" and "fraternity" with "collegiate Greek system residence," while "manpower" will be changed to "human effort".

    FFS.
The ultimate one has to be "pregnant employees".

How many fooking pregnant men has anyone ever met ?
Oh yeah a couple of people out of the entire human race of 7.5 odd billion claimed they were guys even though they didn't have a mickie, had ovaries and a baby in their wombs.

    Loons, freaking loons.

The westerner world has more to worry about than this type of shyteology.

I am not allowed discuss …

More PC bollocks. Who’s actually offended by the term manhole, nobody, that’s who.

    Bullshít.

Being offended and pointing out loopy left wing idiocy aren't the same thing.

Good to see that Berkeley, with long term homelessness double the national average, is at last tackling really important issues....

People recognising that some people are so mentally retarded that now you aren't allowed use the term "pregnant woman" in certain places in case you offend someone is absolutely not the same as being offended.

It's absolutely hilarious. You are accusing someone of being easily offended about people getting offended.

Is a broflake the woke way of referring to someone who doesn't buy into all this bull****? And if it is, is it meant to be an insult?

Good thing you don't live in *checks notes*...... Berkeley, California.

Still, let's not stop the outrage machine.

The weirdest thing is the non use of pronouns, what are you meant to say them instead of him or her, that's just wrong.

What terms will they substitute for 'manager', 'management', 'many', 'heritage', 'history', 'mental', 'monuments', 'mention', 'gentle', 'pungent' etc.

I don't think any of those are in the same context. History for example is from the word for enquiry in Greek, Management comes from handle so nothing to do with men.

I don't think anyone is offended by fireman or man hole, which makes this even stupider.

I have never see a firewoman so for me it shall remain 'fireman'.

And men do not get pregnant, so I can't fathom who might be offended by the term 'pregnant woman' though it is a tautology.

Woah, you're not up to speed on the new rules... men can get pregnant now and if you say otherwise you're wrong. Don't even think about quoting science because hurt feelings matter more than science now.

    Sorry.

Yeah, when we see the women queuing up to go down the manholes and clear the sh*t in the drains, then we'll change the name.

    Sorry.

Just wait until women are getting prostate cancer and men ovarian cancer..... f*king nonsense.

The actual time/energy devoted to transgenderism is completely at odds with its prevalence. If equivalent prevalence-related time, energy and money was devoted to disability rights then we'd all be a lot better off.

No more manholes lads. Too offensive!

Where is this all going to end?

When people with sense finally tell these idiots to **** off.

This is why people are abandoning the Left. The need to be outraged and "offended" by damn near anything and everything. For God's sake they're looking at children's cartoons for something to be outraged by.

Its the Boy who cried wolf situation. By the time they'll find something to be genuinely outraged about people will just ignore them.

Because it's a hole in the ground in which a man goes. Women don't work these kinds of jobs, and they certainly didn't in the era the term was coined.

But why couldn't they call it a drainhole or something, why does everything have to belong to men?

When the word was first used women didn't do the jobs. Also man can mean human as well as man. So mankind doesn't really mean just men it means people.

Because back in those days people were less sensitive about theses thing's and it didn't bother them...

Mental illness I think contributes to people who prefer pronoun's....

    They feel special.

The latest rubbish I heard lately is UL making it an option for the LGBT community to stay in their own safe space on the campus.

Therefore undermining the security of UL, the LGBT community being unable to look after themselves and once again enabling the LGBT community to feel different.

After all the progress we have achieved in helping the LGBT community to be normalised some numptys decide to go ahead and ostricise them again....

    What an own goal....

If I owned a drainage company I’d employ all women because you only have to pay them 70% of what men make.

Probably not PC to call him Ginger either these days. Not sure where that leaves the rhyme:

Could call them a "mankind" hole. Would devalue Neil Armstrong's quote a bit but other than that.... problem solved.;)

Why not just call it a Personhole?

As In: "Jacinta had a non-binary non-specific plumber in to look at her personhole"..... makes sense huh?

There have been articles and comedy skits like this for at least 30 years. I remember one when I was a kid about woman and other such terms being replaced with things like woperson. Back then it was only around the corner and going to be forced upon us all.

For some reason, it never actually happened. Not that there aren't some gobshítes thinking that such things are a good idea, the world is full of gobshítes after all, but they haven't had much success in convincing the wider world of the benefits of such nonsense.

How is a personal pronoun having been replaced by a noun , now a gender neutral pronoun?
