These teams should not be in the sane pool. Can't understand why the draw doesn't take place 6 months out like in football so the seedings are current.

Pandering to the packaged tour market clearly.

In fairness it is the first time they have ever met in a group stage so that is a change at least and good to see in my opinion.

What does this even mean? What is ‘on it’? And why vs SH teams and not NH. He’s past it

Using a seeding from 2 years ago leads to ridiculously lobsided groups though as it doesn't reflect current form. England, Australia and Wales all being in the same group last time a prime example.

6 months ago SA were ranked 5th in the world and would have been 2nd seeds.

Could have equally ended up in the same group 6 months ago.

Only tuning in now. Low scoring, any drama?

Scrums are a complete mess, surely when the last one moved across the pitch like that the most likely culprit should be the NZ loose head.

The other lad who looks like he’s from Mullingar goes off. A great day for the town.

One of the best games I've seen in a while, well worth watching from the start.

Yes, but results may have worked out differently if teams knew they needed to be ranked in top 4 and 8 by a certain date.

He may be past it but I always thought he was fair with his calls.

Never intimidated by the "NZ/OZ/SA" are in town ****e.

You're probably correct but let's not fall out. ;-)

New Zealand are so good at just getting in on the wrong side and slowing down ruck ball or making it hard for the opposition to clear out by rolling out to the wrong side of ruck etc.

He decides to call offside now? Bizarre.

    Garces......

South Africa standing closer to the New Zealand Backfoot than their own. Such an easy thing to fix that world rugby simply refuse to. Mindblowing

    Gobsmacked at this reffing.

S.A. definitely been on the wrong end of a few calls. Should've been a penalty for holding on before that offside.

It's been very bad in this game but New Zealand are every bit as guilty of it when South Africa have the ball.....

It's such an easy thing to see I can't understand why it isn't called.

I can never understand why the draw is made so far in advance of the tournament. Also I think only the semi finalists in one World Cup should automatically qualify for the next with all the other teams having to go through qualifiers. This was the way it was for the 1999 and 2003 tournaments and worked well IMO.

Getting a bit tired of commentary on ITV talking up a SA/NZ final... Neither side have looked unbeatable in this game.

New Zealand look as if they still have another gear or two...
